Our Mission

Berkeley Women in Business (BWIB) empowers the business leaders of tomorrow through leadership development and discourse about gender equity in the workforce. We strive to develop our members into well-rounded individuals with the skills necessary to succeed in their careers.

BWIB is open to all students, all majors, and all genders.

Our members

We currently have 250+ active members across all years.

Our members represent over 15 areas of study spanning business, humanities, and STEM.

Approximately 90% of members have found an internship in various industries such as finance, consulting, and marketing after their first year in BWIB.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Anyone is welcome to become a General Member.

Membership allows you to attend as many or as few BWIB events as your schedule accommodates. You can come to our Case Competition and Women in Workforce Conference to learn more about BWIB!

If you want to be more involved, you can apply to be on a committee, which gives you the opportunity to strengthen specific skills & form a stronger bond with fellow members.

Our Values

Through weekly meetings and social events, such as retreats, day-trips and dinners, our members quickly become integrated into a closely-knit group. We encourage each other to explore new interests, provide one another with opportunities and celebrate our individual and collective successes.

BWIB was established to address the challenges that female business professionals face in the workplace. Through info sessions, panels, conferences and skill-building workshops, BWIB seeks to empower and enable members to break society's status quo and enter the workforce as confident, resilient professionals.

 

In order to give our members the greatest edge in developing their careers, we have developed relationships with top employers in industries ranging from investment banking and consulting to non-tech in tech. The intimate size of our meetings ensures that each member is able to establish interpersonal connections with company representatives.
